The 19th Annual African American Book Fair takes place this Saturday Feb. 5th from 1-3pm at the Community College of Philadelphia. This free two hour indoor event features kid-friendly fun and activities for all. Children can meet their favorite award-winning authors and illustrators and enjoy book signings, free games and prizes and book give-aways, too. Free!

It’s the final weekend of The Philadelphia Auto Show with a fabulous Family Day planned for Sunday February 6th. Family Day offers free admission for the little ones plus face-painting, art project station, character visits and a children’s safety event for the adults. And of course, check out hundreds of cars from manufacturers around the world including concept, classic, luxury cars and more. Tickets $12 for adults, $6 for ages 7-12, ages 6 and under free. Free admission for kids ages 12 and under on Family Day Sunday Feb. 6th.

Great Valley High School in Malvern, PA is host to a festive Chinese New Year Celebration this Sunday Feb. 6th from 1-5pm. Sponsored by the Main Line Chinese Culture Center Enjoy performances by students, parents and teachers to celebrate the Year of the Rabbit. There will also be a culture fair to include a Chopsticks Contest, traditional paper-cutting crafts, and a history of tea exhibit. Free and open to all!

African Masks

Children can learn all about African masks and create their own large-scale, colorful African masks using traditional materials. Free to Philadelphia School District students and their families. Tickets $10 for adults. Children ages 12 and under free with paying adults.
