Free Suzuki Babies and Toddlers Music Demo Class

Want to try a music class for your little one? This weekend is the perfect opportunity with a FREE Suzuki Babies and Toddlers Music Demo Class to be held on Sunday, Oct 16 from 1-2pm at the Twentieth Century Club, 84 S Lansdowne Ave, Lansdowne, PA. Free demo class will also be offered next Sunday, Oct. 23rd too if you're too busy to make it out Sunday.

What is suzkuki music, you're wondering? More than fifty years ago, Japanese violinist Shinichi Suzuki realized the implications of the fact that children the world over learn to speak their native language with ease. He began to apply the basic principles of language acquisition to the learning of music, and called his method the mother-tongue approach. The ideas of parent responsibility, loving encouragement, constant repetition, etc., are some of the special features of the Suzuki approach.

This FREE demo class will be offered by Shelly Beard Schleigh, musician, mother of Violet, and wife to Michael Schleigh. Shelley directs the Suzuki Academy at The Music School of Delaware. She teaches violin and viola lessons for the program both at her home in Lansdowne and at the school’s main branch in North Wilmington. And Shelly was also a guest phillyfun mom a few months ago if you want to read her awesome post about fun things to do with kids in Lansdowne!

If you would like to attend, please contact Shelley Beard at beardshelley@aol.com. Enjoy!
