The first Sunday of the month means Pay What You Wish Admission at the Philadelphia Museum of Art this Sunday December 4th from 10am – 5pm. And take part in the museum’s Family & Children’s programs offering a program around the Dutch Treat exhibit from 10am – 3pm in the Family Studio. What a great and affordable way to take the whole family to the art museum without worrying that you paid full admission if you have to leave early for naps or one of your little one melts down in one of the exhibits. Free. Donations welcomed.
World Culture Day Peace Around the World Sunday December 4th

The University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology hosts its 16th annual Peace Around the World celebration on Sunday December 4th from 1-4pm. Visitors receive a “passport to cultures” with an itinery to visit various museum galleries where International Classroom speakers share holiday traditions from their home countries. This much anticipated celebration will feature music, dancing, exotic face painting, balloon art, family crafts, and free treats for kids. Free with museum admission. $10 general admission. $6 for students and children ages 6-17. Visitors who bring a new unwrapped toy donation get a buy one get one free admission.
South Street Winter Wonderland Sunday December 4th
4-7pm

This Sunday December 4th from 4-7pm the South Street Headhouse District will be transformed into an urban winter wonderland with carolers, horse and buggy rides, face painting, and balloon art all leading up to Santa’s arrival and the lighting of the South Street Holiday tree. Free.
