Middle of April already? My goodness how did THAT happen? The weather is supposed to be nice with temps even possibly hitting the ‘80s on Sunday so get outside and do something fun with your family in Philly this weekend!

Families will enjoy a meet and greet with WXPN Kids' Corner Radio Host, Kathy O'Connel, and a free concert by a fabulous kids band, the Plants. Plus take a tour of the campus and let your kiddos explore workshops in the preschool, kindergarten, wood shop and art rooms. Free.

The 15th annual Cherry Blossom Festival presented by the Japan America Society of Greater Philadelphia and Subaru. Take part in the Sakura Pavilion Grand Opening Weekend at the Shofuso Japanese House and Garden. Enjoy family-friendly events, many free, throughout Philly that celebrate Japanese culture during this month long celebration. This weekend marks the highlight of the festival, Sakura Sunday, on Sunday May 15th from 10:30am - 4pm with celebrations and festivities under the cherry blossoms for all. Enjoy everything from taiko drum and dance to workshops in traditional Japanese arts like oragami, tea ceremony, karate, caligraphy and more. Plus fashion shows, a pet parade, a family storytime, food fun and more!
