Bring the kids out for an experience they’ll not soon forget at Kids Join the Continental Army as they get to “enlist” in the Continental Army on Saturday February 2nd at 11am at Valley Forge National Historic Site. Children get to experience the life of a continental solider including being issued a (dummy) wooden musket and learning how to stand, march and carry their musket just as a real soldier in Washington’s army would have done. This is the first in a series of kids program each covering different topics. Families are encouraged to return for the series. No registration necessary. Just meet at 10:45am at the Visitors Center.

Franklin’s appearance is all part of Adventure Aquarium’s special exhibit Turtles: Journey of Survival featuring the incredible story of survival of the turtle over millions of years and running through March 2013.
