For some of you, I know school is starting this week and you’re already faced with the immediate reality of packing back to school lunches. For me, my oldest starts kindergarten in just a few weeks. KINDERGARTEN for goodnesses sake. I will be packing lunches for the first time. For a picky eater. Hold me….
So like any good digital mom I am pinteresting the heck out of back to school lunches and creative lunchbox packing ideas. I’m keeping a close watch on all my favorite mom food blogs and my blogger buddies who are pros at this and trying to get ideas which I thought I would share with you all too.
The kids have already picked out their lunch boxes but I am definitely going to invest in some silicone cupcake liners, reusable yogurt containers, some flat containers, reusable snack bags, and food picks to add some color and variety and create different sections for food in my daughter’s lunchbox, too.

This post over at The Daily Buzz has some incredibly creative ideas for lunchbox packing. I’m especially smitten with this Darth Vader sammie created by Wendolina but I think I’ll have to make that one for my husband someday since my girls are terrified by Darth so far.
This is a super post on 20 Non-Sandwich School Lunch Ideas which is perfect for my kid who doesn’t eat jelly or lunchmeat. She will eat peanut butter sandwiches but that’s about it.
