Enjoy story time, a Frozen sing-along, crafts and activities with everyone’s favorite snowman – Olaf! at participating Barnes & Noble stores in the region at 7pm on Friday August 1st. Free.
The Garces Foundation hosts its free quarterly Community Health Day at The Lenfest Center this Saturday August 2nd from 9am – 2pm. Bring friends and family out for medical screenings for high blood pressure, diabetes, and cholesterol. Medical physicals, healthcare resources and dental care (limited). Free.
Get “Pop-Cultured” this Saturday August 2nd at Marvel Day at participating Barnes and Noble bookstores with a super celebration of Marvel’s 75th Anniversary with giveaways, activities and more including a chance to win special Marvel prizes too. Free.
Want to get a taste of what camping could be like for your family? Check out the family camp-out this weekend Saturday August 2nd – Sunday August 3rd at Riverbend. Perfect for the first time camper, Riverbend staff help you set up your tent, build the campfire and provide the food. Plus enjoy a night time activity for families too. $80/family. Families can explore, create and play all summer long with the new Art-Splash program running Friday August 1st – Sunday August 3rd. Kids and families get to “Meet the Masterpieces” all summer long as ten treasures from the museum’s collection are featured and come to life through play and hands-on activities. Museum admission for kids 12 and under is always free. Adult admission $23.50.
Families can enjoy a Philadelphia Theme Night on Saturday August 2nd at Campbell’s Field before the Camden Riversharks Game at 7:05pm. Special in game promotions include many giveaways, activities, and even appearances by Benjamin Franklin and Betsy Ross. The first 500 children under 12 will receive a mini bat. All fans who wear a Philadelphia themed sports jersey will get in free. After the game will be fireworks and kids run the bases.
Enjoy free admission to the beautiful Brandywine River Museum on Sunday mornings including this Sunday August 3 between 9:30am – 12pm. Free.
StoryUP! and the Philly Improv Theater team up on Sunday August 3rd from 10am – 1pm to present an interactive storytelling show where the kids provide the ideas for a magical and hysterical adventure. Receommended for 5 and up. Tickets $8-$10.
