Break a sweat at the 6.5 acre playground, which includes the Ann Newman Giant Wooden Slide and more than 50 unique, age-appropriate and accessible pieces of play equipment. The First 200 kids will receive a free book!

Philadelphia Orchestra Neighborhood Concert
The Philadelphia Orchestra returns for its seventh summer to the RiverStage at the Great Plaza at Penn’s Landing. This FREE concert brings the world-renowned orchestra to a new, community and audience, celebrating the organization’s commitment to enhancing the vitality of neighborhoods throughout the Philadelphia region. Celebration of Freedom Ceremony
10am – 11am
Pay tribute to our great nation at the Celebration of Freedom Ceremony featuring music, inspiring remarks, and a reading of excerpts from the Declaration of Independence – among other special elements. This year’s ceremony will recognize the 50th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the 60th anniversary of the Brown vs. Board Supreme Court decision. This year Vice President Biden will join the program and deliver remarks.
Philadelphia Independence Day Parade
11am – 12:30pm
Witness more than 5,000 participants as they celebrate America’s birthday by marching through the nation’s most historic square mile.
Let Freedom Ring
Independence Square, 5th & Market Streets
1 p.m. – 2 p.m.
The ceremony starts on Independence Square and concludes with the symbolic Liberty Bell tapping.
