Hooray for October – let the Halloween fun and festivities officially begin! Enjoy the bounty of seasonal fall family fun for you and your little ones this weekend in and around Philly.
The fun returns to The Oval for three days only this weekend Friday October 3rd – Sunday October 5th. Families can enjoy foodtrucks from Philly’s finest, a beer garden, free outdoor movie screenings, plus storytimes around the camp fires complete with marshmallow roasting too and other great activities for kids of all ages! Free. (Food and drink separate)
The 9th Annual Midtown Village Fall Festival takes place on Saturday October 4th from 12pm – 8pm and features food, multiple beer gardens (for the adults), games, live music, and plenty of fun for the little ones, too! Free.
The Fall for the Arts Festival transforms Germantown Ave. this Sunday October 5th from 11am – 5pm into an outdoor arts and crafts marketplace. Plus enjoy live entertainment on two stages, kids’ rides and arts activities too! Free.
October means the return of Spooky Mini-Golf at Franklin Square this weekend running Friday October 3rd through Sunday October 5th from 6-9pm. Phillly’s favorite mini-golf course is transformed for the Halloween season with spooky surprises, fog, and special lighting to ensure a spooktastic time for all. Tickets $7-$9.
Linvilla Orchards kicks off the Halloween season with the return of Pumpkinland and the popular Hayrides to the Witches House running Friday October 3rd through Sunday October 5th. Families can select their pumpkins from the over 100 tons on display and enjoy fall treats and fun and then hop aboard the hayride to the witches house too. Hayrides run from 5:30-8:30pm. Pumpkinland 8am – 6pm. Free.
Don’t miss the first ever festival in PA designed for those with Autism – Fall Fest: A Day as Unique as You. Child Guidance welcomes children and their families to a fun, social and educational event with resource tables, workshops, and therapeutically supportive areas to ensure that all enjoy a safe fun day!
The free Family Friendly Arts Festival at PAFA (the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art) will take place on Sunday October 5th starting at 12 Noon until 5pm. Enjoy free admission to the museum along with live performances by Story Up!, Zoom Dance, and the Joe and Laura show. There will also be ample opportunity for kids and families to explore exhibits, face painting, street chalk, and enjoy a special ice cream treat and refreshments too! Free.
