Lots of fun to be had this weekend with May fairs, the LuLu Shrine Circus, and ArtSee at the Barnes, too! Families have plenty of options for festive fun this mid-May weekend in Philly!

The 73rd Annual LuLu Shriner Circus returns this Friday May 16th through Sunday May 18th in Plymouth Meeting featuring a family friendly outdoor show including acts, games, rides, high wire, magic and animal performances and of course the famous LuLu Klownz. $24/adults and $12/kids. All proceeds benefit LuLu Shriners.

ArtSee Inside-Out Architecture

It’s a focus on Inside-Out Architecture at the Barnes Foundation this weekend on Friday May 16th from 5-7pm, Saturday May 17th from 11am – 1pm, and Sunday May 18th from 1-3pm. Families will explore structure and design when the construct an amazing art gallery, sketch a beautiful garden and collage a building bag. Free. Gallery admission separate.

St. Denis Family Fun Fair

The annual St. Denis Family Fun Fair will have its final weekend this weekend Friday May 16th – Saturday May 17th with games, food, rides and lots of family fun. Plus adults ages 21 and older will enjoy the beer garden and can take part in the “casino” with table games and great prizes. Entrance is free. All activities and food are ticketed.

Art in the Open Philadelphia 
Friday May 16th – Sunday May 18th

This free Art in the Open event will feature 30 artists from around the country participating in making art outside on Friday May 16th through Sunday May 18th along the Schuylkill Banks trail from the historic Fairmount Water Works to Locust Street Green. On Saturday from 11am – 2pm kids will love the interactive family day activities featuring weaving, creating a fountain with paper, chalk and pastels, a print arts and so much more. Plus Radio Disney will be onsite too! Free.

Israel 66 Festival

The Israel 66 Festival is a free family-friendly event with Israel’s legendary singer and songwriter David Broza as well as other performances and entertainment. Children will have the opportunity to create a giant Israeli flag out of K’NEX and enjoy a fun game of Ga Ga, the Israeli version of dodge ball. Free.

Happy New Year, First Friday and new month, too!! it’s January and while the holiday frenzy is over, there’s still plenty of fun for families this weekend in and around Philadelphia with everything from First Friday events, to winter celebrations and more!

Disney On Ice

If you haven’t seen it yet, don’t miss Disney On Ice Let’s Celebrate during its last week with shows this weekend Friday January 3rd though Sunday January 5th. Kids will be enchanted by this colossal party on ice show highlighting celebrations with your favorite Disney characters doing fabulous ice performances and of course lots of surprises and excitement too. Tickets $18-$95.

Holiday Garden Railway

The Holiday Garden Railway has its last weekend at Morris Arboretum this weekend Friday January 3rd to Sunday January 5th from 10am – 4pm. The Dinosaurs Unearthed exhibit continues at the Academy of Natural Sciences this Saturday January 4th and Sunday January 5th. Guests enjoy roaring, moving, life-size animatronic dinosaurs inside the Academy of Natural Sciences in this multi-sensory experience for dino lovers of all ages. $3 for members, $5 for non-members plus general admission to the museum ($15 for adults, $13 for kids under 13).
